University of Pittsburgh student Sudiksha Konanki, 20, disappeared on March 6, 2025, during a spring break trip to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. She was last seen near the Riu Republica Resort’s beach around 4:15 a.m. Authorities have named Joshua Riibe, 22, as a person of interest; he was reportedly the last person to see her. Riibe claims they were swimming when strong currents pulled them out to sea, after which he lost sight of her. Despite extensive searches by local authorities and the FBI, Konanki remains missing. Her family has requested privacy during this challenging time.
